Tomorrow I go to cakefight to drop off some of my forgotten items. They do trades for vintage/used clothing so thats really helpful for my over loaded closet. My parents are working on this project for me & it's almost done :D I can't wait to show it off, post pictures, ect. The latest project I am starting on is cosmetic cases made of recycled vintage fabric for you ladies. It's good to recycle & when i scavange at thrift shops I always see the coolest fabric. There will only be about 2-3 basic designs, but the cases will be one-of-a-kind.

Cheap skate- Wet Seal Vs. American Apparel

It's been along time since a good ol' Monikapolitan "cheap skate" blog so here it is. Todays competitors, Wet seal and American Apparel. On my yearly trip to Wet Seal I was browsing around at their swimwear selection & found thee most perfect copy cat of American Apparels Lame triangle tops.
I have analyzed both pictures & styles about 10 times and have yet to find a difference. I know some people believe "you get what you pay for" (and I'de obviously rather pay Wet Seal's 2 for $30 than American Apparels 1 for $26) but if you are going to splurge on AA cause of the better name & what not... speaking from experience, the lame tube top from aa is no different that the ones I felt up at Wet Seal. So come on ladies I wana see everyone with their metallic bras on this summer!!

I made this necklace for myself then decided to put it up for sale at Monikapolitan.com. I got the inspiration from a video I saw of YELLE. Monikapolitan Shoot 3

Sunday is shoot # 3 for monikapolitan.com. Make up will be done by All the glitters, photos by Aberazzi & the look will be mod/futuristic? Last minute I thought the Lame skirts from AA would be perfect for the theme, maybe in gold or purple. Shipping would take too long, so I decided to make my own. I bought some Gold Lamish material and elastic for the waist band. Hopefully it turns out ok. Wigs, fake eyelashes, polkadots & mod makeup is what I have in mind.....

ughh. I hate being in a rush but it's my own fault. Woke up late today. I planned to get up in time to straighten my hair get all pretty, go to the mall, buy more supplies, ship packages, go to class, work on orders, work out & relax. .... Elizabeth & James Part II

I remember blogging months back at the birth of Mary Kate & Ashleys new Elizabeth & James line. Months later, the "chic" line is now in full force with many new comforting looks that people like you and me can easily mimic without hesitation. The looks are very versatile & can be dressed up or down for any fashionista's average day. One thing I dislike about many designers is that they come out with these extravegant, over the top lines and your like "when the heck would I ever be able to wear that?" I love watching the combinations in magazines and all but It's not everyday that us girls are doing photoshoots and walking runways so it's nice to see that MK & A came out with low key pieces.

Spring break is officially over. Now's the worst part, going back to the reality of school & zombie life livin. Next up is Motion city in Austin. The beach was ok? I prefer austin...seeing drunk girls act like fools and guys taking full advantage doesn't really tickle my fancy much. But the time spent with my boiii was super duper. This girl is my favorite. So simple & sexy. Very pretty as well. I need to start buying more dresses for summer/vegas where shall i begin. Saving my money i suppose.

Some of the American apparel's ads are so scandalous. I love it. I wore my new aa dress today & ended up i didn't have to :/ Oh well. Then i came home and ordered another one in purple & some black leggings I can't wait for them to come in. FREE SHIPPING on orders over 50 yall!

Cant stop listening to Chromeoooooo. I've been jammin' to them all day. "Needy Girl" reminds me of who I'm not but how most girls are. Which is why I don't hang out with Most girls. No offense.

Lets just cut to the chase and head to the fun stuff. I switched up Monikapolitan a bit. New banners and such. If you haven't noticed the shutter shades are now available in 7 colors! Black, red and white just came in today. The hipster aviators are back in stock in every color as well. I'm trying to get rid of my ridiculous cold/cough.

SXSW- Seduction leads to destruction

Unplanned trips are always the best. My first sxsw & I could honestly say, besides Cabo this was one of the best experiences I have ever experienced. People everywhere. I only spent $20 bucks on watching Paramore & Chiodos perform other than that every show we went to was free.

The RedBull party we went to the last night was free as well with an ID and... Free drinks till 5am?? Only in Austin does this happen. Big screen TV's, Redbull and vodka galore, tooonns of people and a bus where you could lounge and check your facebook. Some freakin' awesome girl performed and she reminded me of Karen O. from the YEAH YEAH YEAHS she was totally crazy climbing on the drum set and singing on the floor. I can't remember her name and I want to so bad but i did get a really bad video... Everyone danced.

All time low, forever the sickest kids, the main, Chromeo, some crazy MC's at complete clothing, Best/worste Brootal greasy hotdogs, $10 urban shirt and a cute american apparel dress was what consumed my saturday afternoon. I still cant believe it.

Zar bought two pairs of Diesel Jeans. Super sexy.

Some guy came up to zar asking if he was the guy from Fall out boy. He should have said yes. My chest was sunburned.

Me and stephanie had to pee so bad we both went in a porter potty. Some guys asked if they could video tape the moment. We said no.

They didn't pee together. But Nick loves my boyfriend.
For the finale of the Redbull party a DJ played. We went up front and got squashed.

My favorite performance of all time was Chromeo. It was a huge excuse for a dance party and divos to dance on eachother.

Come together like a horse and carriage

I was watching Married with children tonight (since zar sets timers on his tv to make it a point he doesn't miss it) and i came to the conclusion that Peggy bundy is one of my style icons. She was so late 80's early 90's and she rocked it well.

I need a Monikapolitan assistant, I forget to do things and have many orders to work on. I love wrapping the packages but hate driving to the post office :/ I hope ROCK AND SHOP happens in april.
