Right now i am sitting at a cyber cafe in a foreign place trying to figure out how to use this keyboard so please excuse the bad puncuation. Sorry for the long wait on these guys. Hurricane Dolly sure did cause a riot here in South Texas and caused a shipment delay on my sweet little package. But no worries the "Sweetheart," Half Shutter Shade & Owl Sunnie Sunglasses are NOW IN STOCK!! Also back are a couple of customer favorites: The Vintage "Glam" and Colorful Wayfarer Sunglasses. The "sweetheart" checkered style are selling fast only a COUPLE are left so get them while they last! If not this time I will be getting more next month. Don't forget about the new talking watches either. I kept one for myself and it makes me smile every hour.
Here is part II of my vintage escapade from a few days ago. This thrift shopping trip was well worth it I found so much useful stuff.
The Verdicts are:
-A highwaisted black skirt. Funny cause I just spent 30 something dollars on an American Apparel interlock high waisted skirt. However, this one is different, it's got the zipper and whole deal going on rather than just the stretchy material like AA.
-A highwaisted ruffle skirt with cute bow detail. I got lucky & found this one in the little girls section

As most of you know Hurricane DOLLY has just hit south texas. Most of the valley's power is out & businesses will be closed for a few days... including the post offices. Now today I got lucky because I did have the chance to print postage online & drop it by the post office boxes (which was really dangerous & stupid of us to do) however, the postal services here are closed which is why you may not get your tracking updates today.
Power here at the monikapolitan household has not gone out but I sense it will soon because the lights keep flickering. I do NOT have internet connection because wires are down which means I will not be able to print postage until it goes back up. I could do it the camando way & write addresses & such but either way post offices are closed. Who knows how long but it should calm down by friday. Hopefully. The small stuff like responding to emails & writing blogs can be done here on my phone but any other stuff will have to wait till internet goes back up.

-The cutest little Dino print dress I found in the little girls section. Its Mini skirt length and says Robo-Saurs with little robot dinos all over it! Find of my life!
-A nice flowy off white colored top
-A Film Camera my grandma found at a flea market. Its so great.

Monikapolitan.com's newest hand-made item is here & 100% ECO-FRIENDLY!! Each one of these hair bows is individually HAND-SEWN using old or vintage fabric, shirts, blouses, ect. They all have an easy to use alligator clip securely sewn to the back so there is no worries about your bows falling apart on that hott first date. If you see one you like GET IT FAST! Being that these are made out of recycled fabrics means they are very limited or one-of-a-kind! Each hair bow measures 4 inches long and 2 1/2 inces wide and will definitely make a LOUD statement!
If you guys have tried emailing me before & never got a response well I now have the reason... SPAM! Sometimes if your email is not known to my mail carrier (aol) or has a funny name then it AUTOMATICALLY sends your email to my SPAM INBOX which then gets deleting every 14 days. I discovered this on accident when I was clearing out my inbox a few nights ago. So NO IM NOT IGNORING your emails. I try to answer all of them sometime during the week so if you don't get a response send it again, I'm going to try to check my spam box from now on if I can remember. I was suppose to leave out of town tomorrow for a week but there is a tropical storm headed that way so looks like I won't be leaving for another few days.

My bf & #1 Monikapolitan supporter not only took me to see the new Batman movie but also took me thrift shopping today for round 2. I wanted the ninja turtle backpack but then I changed my mind. I did find a snazzy vintage Polaroid land camera. I can't figure out if it works or not cause I'm not sure what film to buy (Aberazzi, help me out here I know youre out there) Even if it doesnt work I still thought it would be cute for photoshoot props. I also found some "reeboks with the straps" just like the one's I purchased on Ebay. They are size 8 and will not be at Monikapolitan.com but will go up on ebay soon.
IN THE WORKS: Saturday, August 9th DGE & Monikapolitan are hooking up for an off the hook END OF SUMMER BACKYARD SALE/PARTY/BBQ/COCKTAIL FEST. I cleaned out my closet & have tons of awesome clothes, necklaces, belts, shoes & other random stuff to sell. All yard sale items will be at crack head prices (for example shirts 2 for $5, belts $1 and so on...) I will also have a table with most Monikapolitan.com items available. There will be MUSIC, FREE BBQ for all and COCKTAILS for those who have a valid I.D. Mark your calendars or get your days off from work. More details soon!
Oprah says that summer scarves & Leopard Flats are like totally like omg in! And like If Oprah said it then like... it MUST be true!! There was vintage shopping done today. Some stuff I can't help in keeping for myself but I did find a vintage scarf & a second-hand Hello Kitty backpack that are now available to buy. I really wanted to keep the Hello Kitty backpack for myself to start the fall semester off with a BANG! but I'm actually really leaning towards that ninja turtle one I saw. I also found a cute Night Gown/Dress (I'm thinking nighties as dresses will be all the rage soon) THAT will be for sale once I get some decent pictures. For now...
Nylon revealed their cover for August 08... Mischa Barton. I haven't really been diggin' her indian/hippie whatever it is style lately but I do like what I see here...
What a fun night it was. The HAVANA CLUB was having a "if you're important, come drink free stuff with other important people" night. I'm not important but it was fun pretending with all the other important people that were probably also pretending. Since it was a work night we only stayed for a while then went to KAVE for some scrumptious buffalo wings and music.
Who what Wear Daily posted a trend that I can relate to 110% Like I've mentioned before, my legs are hideously skinny & it is a hasle finding jeans that fit perfect so wearing no pants is always my fav. Which brings us to the verdict...
