The adventures of beach

Summer? So far so good. As mentioned in my previous blog, I spent this weekend at South Padre Island for a friends birthday. I was on the verge of calling the trip off but I'm really glad I took a load off and went. Every summer my family and about 7 other families close to us park their trailers at the beach and stay all summer. I've been doing this since I was born and don't go as often as my parents do but I still manage to make it out every other weekend or so. This was my first beach trip of this Summer and half of it was spent at a place that our friends rented for the weekend. The house was a 4 story condo/mansion with an amazing balcony view on each floor and a pool. Houses and experiences like this really make me appreciate life, work and the world. I really wouldn't think that I would ever want or need a 4 story condo, but it does remind me how beautiful the world can be and it definitely inspires me to want to do more in order to experience more trips like these on a bigger scale. The view was amazing, the fun was real and the environment felt new. We went to Pelican West and danced to the greatest cover band ever heard, ate oysters, soaked in some sun on the sand, had day pool parties, night pool parties, went on a 4am beach adventure, had karate fights, I conducted a booty shaking contest (and I might have won) and I also made up a really weird dancing drinking game. All photos taken by Gabriel Castle.
