Swoon

I've been swooning over Julian Casablancas for about 12 hours now. I usually don't do this with anyone except for Adam Brody but there's something mysterious at sexy about this man that I can't figure out. I thought about moving closer to him, stalking him, then convincing him that we are meant to be.... then I decided to be a little more rational, keep it low key and just dedicate this blog post to him instead. Have you guys heard is latest CD? It's one of my favorites right now. Today is Thursday and I'm hoping to go see a movie and work on some designs with G-Cass. It's always nice looking at editorials knowing you can't afford anything on them.... maybe one day? I found the Viktor and Rolf 2010 gown collection very intriguing. If I was doing red carpets, I'de totally snatch the one in the 2nd image with the pink bottom. I wonder if I would make it to the "Hott" or "Not" list. The Closet Debut

I started a BRAND NEW section at Monikapolitan.com called "The Closet" because I'm an impulsive buyer and most times beautiful clothes ends up lifeless in my closet and never used. I'de hate to see these (almost brand new) pieces go to waste so decided to put them up for sale for you to buy! Me and Gabriel Castle are working on a new project together and I can't wait until it comes out of our brainz and into the world. Meet Mookie

Friday night as me and Gabriel Castle were bored looking for a house party (or anything for that matter) and I was straightening my hurrz, I noticed that when I clip up the top half of my hair to straighten the bottom half I look like a guidette... Snookie to be exact. For those of you that don't watch MTV: Snookie is one of the main characters from the reality TV show "Jersey Shore" and yes, she is serious. Gabriel and I couldn't stop laughing and got a little carried away with a quick photoshoot. I picked the douchiest pair of sunglasses that Monikapolitan has to offer, fixed my poof, applied the brightest red lipstick I have & we got to business. Too good to eat, McDonalds got a "pretend" make over! How couture of them... these aren't actually going to be sold at McDonalds but they sure look like a thousand bucks! It's all part of an "Access Agency" that The Cool Hunter is launching. I'm semi-excited about the upcoming Zac Posen and Gaultier collections arriving to Target within the next few months! I'm not sure which I enjoy more but I'm looking forward to picking up a couple of pieces from each...

I had a pack of Polaroid Film in my fridge (which I had been saving for almost a year) but since they announced that Polaroids are COMING BACK I stopped being stingy and took them out of the butter section. And how exciting is it that Lady Gaga is officially the new "Creative Director" of Polaroid!! Her hopes in "blending the iconic history of Polaroid and instant film with the digital era" are underway and I have no doubt that this indeed will be a new era for Polaroid. It's all making sense to me now. The photo I blogged about weeks ago of the tattoo I wanted wasn't a real tattoo? Turns out the brilliant brainz at CHANEL are launching a line of temporary tattoos!! The pack of 55 temp tats will sell for $75 starting February 15th of 2010! Need it, want it, love it, getting it. I'm really crossing my fingers and hoping that the CHANEL in the Austin Domain or some source online sells them cause I really don't want to have to resort to bidding over $100 on Ebay. I'm finally going out for the first time since Christmas day folks. My teefs are doing better and I'm going to have $4 Margaritas & Martinis and taking my Polaroid camera along.

I got the Anthropologie catalogue a few days ago and fell in love with antique Mexican theme. It reminds me of the beautiful architecture and early mornings at San Miguel. I'm planning a "business trip" there for February and can't wait to get amazing photos!! Valentine's day has officially started at Monikapolitan! Even artichokes have hearts

I've watched the foreign film Amélie 4 times this week and am very intrigued by the awkward close ups they capture of Amélie and all the odd knick knacks and interior decorations they have in their houses. I would punch someone for that pig lamp she sleeps next to in that one scene (6th image below.) I'm finally watching THE SEPTEMBER ISSUE which is the documentary film of Vogue's Editor in chief, Anna Wintour. Of course the film didn't come to this little nothing town of mine when it released, but I was finally able to get a link to watch it online successfully. So far so good... like The Devil Meets Prada turned into a reality show.

Feed Me

I'm trying not to sleep because if I do I'll wake up in tooth hell. Visiting the doctor in a few hours, FINALLY! Hopefully this wisdom tooth infection gets cleared up and fast because I'm tired of sitting on my butt and watching movies... I want to do things and eat real meals! With online browsing as my only source I've come to realize that I'm stuck on several things at this moment- boyish boots, jazz inspired oxfords, florals, sexy lingerie & Men's fashion. I always scroll through the guys section of Urban Outfitters and Forever 21 & pretend to order things that I would want a guy to wear. I also keep buying ankle boots or jazzy flats and probably should stop because they all look the same.

Off With My Head

Here are some missing pictures from my birthday weekend that I found at Ronysphotobooth.com They were taken the day after when Abe, Gabriel and I took Rony to eat at the Olive Garden before his flight. I'm ready to chop my head off I want Olive Garden so bad now... I'm pretty sure I developed a "dry socket" from this oral surgery. I won't even go on explaining but the pain is excruciating and all I do is take Vicodin, watch movies, eat jello-like boring foods and sleep.

3rd day of wisdom teeth removal and I feel the same as I did yesterday. My cheeks look embarrassing and hurt like hell. I've watched about 6 never before seen movies including the much talked about Amélie. I kept falling asleep towards the end but what a great and inspiring film it has been so far. There is a very limited amount of things I can do with my time because of these intense pain killers I'm on, so aside from watching movies, sleeping and eating blended Chinese food- I do a lot of pretend online shopping. I haven't purchased much because I like looking at the editorial photos featured on the sites much more than spending money on them so here are a few of my favorites that I wanted to share with you from various online shops
