Fresh Toes

If I could, I would wear ankle boots everyday, with every outfit and for the rest of my life, but now that the South Texas heat is shining down on us at full force, although I love my ankle boots... they're just too damn HOT! My socks get sweaty while i'm walking to class and soggy toes are just gross! Right now, I'm totally loving ankle cuff sandals because not only do my feet get a breather, but I still get that boot affect. I'm in the process of making a decision on which I want to purchase and listed some of my favorites below. As for the video below: I heard this dude Sean Hayes on YouTube and he instantly became my favorite... I don't know what genre this type of music is but I find myself always liking it best. It reminds me of Jason Mraz, hot summer days and the beach..

Kitty Sitter

Since my friend Abe left to Austin, and I'm stuck in my house like a lonely nerd due to homework and finals, he asked if I could kitty sit his new kitten, Zelda. So far, the little monster is so precious, all she wants to do is play, eat or gnaw on my fingers. Kittens have an imagination of their own...

Peeps and Pups

I hope everyone who celebrates had a great Easter Sunday! I spent mine with lots of family, new puppies and pounds of confetti. Although the wind was completely crazy, my cousin's backyard is now a beautiful park, so we set up our Easter festivities right outside their fence. I love that our family never breaks tradition and still organizes easter egg hunts for us college kids. I definitely feel lucky to have all these people in my life, especially these adorable little labrador puppies my dad and mom came home with the other day. We still can't think of names for them...

Blowing in the wind

If I love my dog more than anyone, can't stop taking pictures of him, share my food with him and have human conversations with him... does that mean I'm obsessed? Hmm, anyway, this constant and insane wind that has been blowing around here for about a month is killing me pretty bad because of some weird allergies that I suddenly developed. It has been ruining my life since I can't even go outside to check the mail anymore without my nose stinging and throat swelling up, so I hope whatever is in the air goes away ASAP! I went to Target to find a decent, quick Maxi dress and was really disappointed with their women's clothes selection. I ended up going to the girl's children section and found an adorable multi/floral dress... I think I might pair it with my new floppy hat, some brown boots I had laying around and my Jackie O sunglasses that I took from Monikapolitan.com. Hope everyone has an allergy free Easter!

Desire to inspire

This weekend is Easter and it always boggles my brain how fast the months go by... I guess I can't wait to have confetti in my hair and get those weird marshmallow Peeps that no one really ever eats. I've been feeling spontaneous lately and I sometimes wish I had more friends who have my same interests so we could share ideas, thoughts and wine. I've been looking at rental apartments to stay at while on my journey in Paris, thought i'd leave you guys with some inspirational photos...

Another Again

Thank you guys for making yesterday so special for me. It was Monikapolitan.com's 2nd birthday... my online boutique has survived 2 years (or 4 years total, if you want to count my little rinky dink ebay sales!) There's some new stuff coming to the shop, like the beautiful floral shorts below, cute tights and since you bros have been requesting more stuff, I decided to test the market again and added a few new items for you. In exactly one month I will be landing in Germany to study abroad/take a marketing class, then I'm headed to Paris soon after! I'm on the search for a nifty travel journal of some sort. I have a lot of little notebooks and journals that I was looking through and I stumbled across some pretty funny stuff (like the time I got my wisdom teeth out, they got infected and I had to lay in bed for 3 weeks miserable and on heavy medication...) I could continue in this book but it's way too small for a BIG place like Europe so I was looking at this one. Anyway, I got these wedges at Forever21 and yes, I'm ready to wear them.
